Heading into day four of competition at the 2010 Olympic Games, 30 medals have been awarded to athletes from 16 different nations.
The United States leads the count with a total of six medals after the first weekend, bringing home three medals in Freestyle skiing events alone, including Hannah Kearney's gold in the Women's Moguls.
Johnny Spillane captured the first U.S. medal in the Nordic Combined on Sunday. The athlete held on and appeared to have a first place win clinched before Jason Lamy Chappuis took the lead and won the gold. Chappuis is a competitor on the French team, though he was born in Missoula, Montana.
U.S. athletes took two medals in the Men's 1500m in Short Track events; Apolo Ohno took home the silver and J.R. Celski scored a bronze.
The 2010 Winter Games began Friday in Vancouver and events continue until February 28.
