The
investigation to find who is guilty for the King of Pop's death is officially
over. State investigators decided today that no charges will be filed against
Jackson's seven doctors who may have been responsible for his demise.
In an
interview with The Associated Press,
the attorney for Michael Jackson's father Joe Jackson, Brian Oxman expressed
his concerns about this new development in the case. "I am very
disappointed," said Oxman, "The misuse of medications by Michael
Jackson in the last years of his life was excessive and to fail to bring that
to the public eye is ignoring reality."
Oxman
is serving as Jackson's attorney in the case against Conrad Murray, Jackson's
personal doctor. Murray may be linked directly to Jackson's death in June 2009.
But he has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter and is not included
in the seven doctors who have been taken off the hook.
If Murray is found guilty he faces a sentence of up to four years in jail. A preliminary hearing for Jackson's case is set for August.
