The WERS News Team is a diverse group of individuals, from all over the country.
The In-house staff includes about 25 staff members, including six anchors and eight reporters.
Each day the WERS News Team puts together a bi-hourly newscast for the morning and afternoon drives, including news, weather, and traffic.
The News department has covered many events around the Boston Area, most notably, live coverage of the 2008 election. The department has also won nearly 2 dozen Regional Associated Press awards in the past 10 years, ranging from "Best Newscast" to "News Station of the Year" for 2007.
